Sparking Adventure, Inspiring Community!
July 30 – August 2, 2010
This Civic Holiday weekend will be filled with BurnT goodness set in a gorgeous natural landscape located less than 190 km northwest of Toronto near Walkerton, Ontario!
It’s been another busy fun year in the life of BurnT and it’s hard to believe that summer is already here! We have a fantastic new venue that will provide us a brilliant creative canvass to work with while also challenging us to fully embrace radical self-reliance in its rolling meadows and expansive forests. So let’s spark adventure and inspire community by getting our creative juices flowing and planning to make brilliant ideas come to life this summer!

Here’s what you need to know:
:: Will-Call Admission Fees, Registration and Some Important Notes ::
Admission fees have been set at 2 levels that will allow us to cover the costs of a high quality experience while remaining affordable for most folks. If the regular admission price is a stretch for you, be sure to buy an Early Bird admission as there will be no complimentary or hardship admissions this year.
Rather than being issued a physical “ticket” all admissions will be “will-call” only. pARTicipants will simply register and provide their legal name and email at the time they pay their admission fees. A registration confirmation will be emailed after payment. Personal information will only be used to create a pARTicipant list for entry to the event and to distribute event updates.
Note that in an effort to keep the event manageable in size while reflecting the spirit of BurnT, only 150 admissions will be sold. This limit is also the upper limit set by the venue owner. So pay your admission fee now and avoid missing out!
Admission fees for pARTicipants 13 years of age and older:
- Early Bird Admissions available from June 1 – 30, 2010: $40
- Regular Admissions from July 9 – midnight 27, 2010: $60
Kids 12 and under are free! Please be sure to register your little people.
Admission fees are now payable online through this link:

:: Volunteering ::
An event of mOOseman’s magnitude needs many hands and minds to come together to be a success. We’re all volunteers so why not join the fun of mounting the event? Email burntmooseman2010+volunteers@gmail.com NOW to get involved! Even a couple of hours of your time before or during the event will make it run that much better. Volunteering is also a great way to meet or get to know our community pARTicipants better.
For a list of roles that need filling please click here VOLUNTEER & LEAD ROLE DESCRIPTIONS. If you’re thinking about volunteering, but don’t necessarily want to take on a lead role, no worries. Have a look at the lead role descriptions anyway to get an idea of the areas that volunteers will be needed in general, and email the volunteers address above indicating how you would like to get involved.
:: Theme Camps, Performances, Workshops, and Other Forms of pARTicipation ::
Have an idea for a fun, interactive theme camp? Thinking about testing out an concept for the Big Burn, Orphan Burn, the T-Comp or other event? Planning to bring an entourage of creative, community-minded freaks together to make something magical happen? Let the planning PODdle know your plans and needs so we can faciltate the experience and fit you in. Send an email to burntmooseman2010+participation@gmail.com with a description of your project, what your set up and Leave No Trace plans are for it, and any other information that will make the project a success. Also include information about space requirements, lighting or sound needs, etc. Your project or activity may even qualify for an Art Grant (see below)!
:: Art Placement & Art Grants ::
Art of all shapes and sizes, styles and formats is welcome and encouraged to be shared at mOOseman. Please email burntmooseman2010+art@gmail.com to arrange placement of your art work. If you need financial, labour, transport, power, materials or any other type of assistance with a piece you’re making or dreaming about making for the event, please let us know. We have a limited budget for art grants so the allocation of those funds will be by way of an Art Grant Application and selection process.
Details about art grants can be found by clicking here ART GRANTS.
:: No Advertising, No Commerce and No Spectating Please! ::
Burning with BurnT is all about pARTicpating and respecting our basic principles. In short, we’re not about money, or promoting any specific commercial or political cause, or showing up to be entertained. Please help make mOOseman 2010 great by getting involved, and please don’t treat our event as just another one of the many commercial festivals you might promote your craft at. Plan to lock up your wallet in your glove box upon arriving at the event site for use after the event.
:: Need More Information? ::
Email burntmooseman2010@gmail.com, or contact a PODdle member (Chloe, Lara, Laura, Jamie or auBrey) for general inquiries.
Also stay tuned for more communiqués via this site, the BurnT email lists and Toronto Burning Man announcement email for event updates in the coming weeks.
Looking forward to sparking adventure and inspiring community with you!
Love and fire,
The mOOSeman 2010 PODdle
