Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. They depart one week later, having left no trace whatsoever.
It is hard to explain just how wonderful and horrible dancing in the dust can be. But for the 358 other days a year those same passionate, artistic, resilient people form communities around the world and are finding ways to bring the beauty of the playa back …

good morning! excited to be planning our first trek to BM and have done some preliminary searching for polyisocyanurate – not as easy as I thought to find!
1) Any sightings of the 2″ polyiso in south-western Ontario? (hamilton/burlington/oakville/mississauga would be most convenient!)
2) also need to order the bifilament tape so it’s here on time! Any interest in possibly doing a group order?!?
please lemme know!
hope you have a great day and an incredible long weekend!

The following survey was released to the BurnT community on the BurnT google group and the Toronto Burning Man announcement list on July 19th, 2010.  The results and responses have been added beside or below the related question.
You’ll see that voters were strongly in favour of supporting The Heart Machine with a five thousand dollar grant, given one hundred percent in advance of the project shipping to Burning Man 2010.  Kim Breland …

Fire plays a big part in the events at mOOseman — so does fire safety and common sense. This is something taken very seriously, so please read these guidelines carefully.

mOOseman is going to take place in the woods, in a dry area. Therefore, campfires, flame effects, and open fires are NOT ALLOWED during the event. The same for CANDLES or TIKI TORCHES.
Stoves, and safe cooking set-ups (not open fire, or pit fires) will, of course …
